Nora Real Food was founded at the end of 2018 with the aim of revolutionizing the corporate food delivery market. After overcoming the pandemic, becoming the supplier for giants like Mango and Glovo, and reaching a turnover of €7.2 million in 2024, it has achieved success in just five years — but it wants more.

Nora took part in a day full of learning about gender equality in the workplace, organized by Talent Factory Barcelona.

From Talent Factory Barcelona, Nora Vallcorba shares the challenges she faced on her journey as an entrepreneur alongside her mother.

Nora Real Food, the startup specialized in healthy food for companies, generates 60% of its revenue from physical canteens, while the rest comes from delivery. Currently, the company serves around 4,000 daily meals and has a workforce of over 100 employees.

One of the pillars of the food and beverage sector in Catalonia is its innovative capacity. With leading technology centers such as Eurecat or Leitat (which recently announced an ERO) and the presence of several clusters, associations and international companies, this sector is one of the main drivers of Catalan innovation.

Albert Solé explained that currently “emotional salary is gaining a lot of weight to retain talent in the offices.” To which he added: “Companies are starting to offer benefits to their employees to make them stay, and food is one of the most impactful.”

The idea for Nora Real Food arose within Glovo, where Vallcorba began working at the beginning of the project, when its staff consisted of few professionals. “There I discovered that the delivery business was covered for individuals, but not for companies. There was a gap and a need that made me jump in”.

Vallcorba explains that growing without funds has its positive and negative points, like everything in life. Growing up without funds you often develop a mindset of doing more with less and finding inventive ways to approach problems.

Nora Real Food announces its foray into the management of in situ canteens in companies. In addition to providing quality food, Nora Real Food's mission is to incorporate technology into the physical canteens of companies. This will be done through initiatives such as automatic check-outs and the implementation of corners with healthy and sustainable beverages and snacks.
